Green Web Site for Laguna Beach
			Laguna Beach, CA (April 17, 2009) — The Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau, in cooperation with the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce and Waste Management of Orange County, announces the launch of a new green Web site that connects visitors and residents with Laguna Beach. The site was developed for the promotion of green tourism opportunities for visitors to the City, to showcase the many natural, cultural, business and sustainable resources in town, and to serve as a resource for local residents, organizations and companies interested in the environment. To be unveiled on Earth Day, April 22, 2009, GreenLagunaBeach.com is a comprehensive clearinghouse for all things green in Laguna Beach. The site encourages the discovery of Laguna Beach as an eco-tourism destination, offering a wealth of information and plentiful links that reveal exciting, new ideas whether visiting, working or living in Laguna Beach. The visitors’ section of the site features lodging, dining and retail establishments that have adopted eco-friendly practices. In the Locals’ section, there are many resources available for residents and businesses to improve energy efficiency and operate more sustainably. Also featured are sample itineraries, transportation options, walking and hiking tours, farmers’ market listings and event calendars. According to Karyn Philippsen, Board of Directors President of the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau, GreenLagunaBeach.com is ‘an informational hub for planning your next green visit to Laguna Beach.” “Laguna Beach has always been active in the sustainability movement and now GreenLagunaBeach.com brings everything together with one click,” said Judith Bijlani, executive director for the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau. “Whether a traveler, resident or local business owner, those who appreciate Laguna Beach share an interest in making sure we can all enjoy everything the town has to offer for many years to come.” GreenLagunaBeach.com was created by the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau.
